Me & Disney

Since my childhood I am a huge Disney fan. My first Disney movie ever was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – not the originial release of the 1930 though… I am not that old, it must have been in the 90ies. After that, a lot of other Disney movies (and therefor video tapes and merchandise) followed, so I guess you could say that I grew up with Disney, like so many others of you.

Admittedly, I kind of lost interest as a teenager. As you can imagine, other stuff suddenly became more important. A few years later I stumbled upon some Disney DVDs in a shop and at the end I got weak out of nostalgic reasons and finally walked out with The Little Mermaid. Watching that movie made me so happy, so I decided to embrace my inner child and start my own Disney DVD collection to get all the movies that touched my heart as a kid.

However, my Disney obsession hit a new level the day I was introduced to Disneyland Paris by a dear friend. After this magical experience there wasn’t a year to date where I did not return to the magic. Back home, I always felt like there must be something that would add a little bit of Disney park magic to my everyday life. Beeing a booklover, that’s where I first got the idea of buying a beautiful coffeetable book about Disneyland Paris. That was in 2014.

Me & The Disney Bookshop

Well, since then a lot (really a lot!) of books about the art of the Disney Studios, Disney animation and the Disney parks joined my library. At a certain point I started to ask myself if there were other people like me (young at heart, in love with books and Disney) and how I could share my passion with them. Well, that’s where I got the idea of creating a place where this would be possible.

Therefore, this blog is for everyone who, like me, loves beautiful books and the Disney universe. I want my library to be a source of joy and a place where your inner child is always welcome.
